Description

Chemical name:Tetraethoxylsilane, Tetraethyl silicate, Ethyl silicate 40

SNY-TES40 is a ethyl silicate polymer which provides approximately 40% ofsilicon dioxide (silica) upon complete hydrolysis.

Features

Application

SNY-TES40 is being used for the precipitation of silica (polymeric SiO2 structures) upon complete hydrolysis. The polymeric SiO2 structures firmly bind inorganic fillers and pigments and adhere well to different inorganic substrates likeglass, ceramics or metals. The solid SiO2 thin film improves chemical and mechanical properties of the substrates. Application examples:

• binder for anti-corrosive coatings

• binder for refractory fillers (production of ceramic shells and cores)

• binder for precision casting

• coating material for pigments and fibers
