MQ Silicone Resin SiSR-200

Description

SiSR-200 is a series of MQ silicone resins, which is a co-hydrolysis product of tetraalkoxy silane (Q unit) and trimethylalkoxy silane (M unit).

Chemical Formula:

[(CH3)3SiO1/2]a[SiO4/2]b

M=[(CH3)3SiO1/2]      Q=[SiO4/2]

The ratio of M:Q decides the special properties and applications of the resin.

Application

• As a reinforcing material for condensation type liquid silicone rubber(LSR).

• To formulate mold release agents for a variety of materials plastics, polyurethanes.

• To prepare heat-resistant and alkali-resistant silicone defoamer. By adding high-viscosity hydroxyl silicone oil and silicone MQ resin to synthesize a network polymer with a high degree of branching, so as to improve the heat resistance and strong alkaline resistance of the defoamer.

• As an ingredient of polishing formulation to enhance the hydrophobicity of automotive care and home care systems.

• Silicone Pressure Sensitive Adhesive(SPSA): The silicone hydroxyl group or vinyl group in MQ resin can condense with the hydroxyl group of silicone rubber or with silicone rubber through hydrogen-containing siloxane under the action of catalyst, so as to prepare silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive.

• Film-forming in personal care and cosmetics. For cosmetic applications, we recommend SiSR-200 from SUNSIL™ line.
