Description

SP-2601 is a non-ionic polyether modified polysiloxane. It is a high performance silicone surfactant typically used as a shaping and release agent on a steel belt during the sulphur pastillezing process.

Application

SP-2601 is used as a shaping and release agent on a steel belt during the sulphur pelletization process. SP-2601 is expected to reduce the sulphur dust level by approx. 50%. This reduction is mainly achieved due to improvement and consistency in pellet shape and better separation from the conveyor belt.

Compared to traditional silicone oil emulsions, SP-2601 are superior due to:

- better release ability

- improved shelf lifeand stability

- easier cleaning of the conveyor belt

How to use

Gently stir it into distilled water (pH 6 - 7)

Spray method: Use a 15% aqueous solution sprayed on the belt before the sulfur drop point.

Bath method: Use a 3% solution in a bath, applied with a roller before the drop point.
