Amino silicone fluid SNY-296

Description

SNY-296 is an amino methoxy functional polydimethylsiloxane. The highly polar nature of the amino group and the high reactivity of the methoxy group  enable SNY-296 to cure and further cause a durable polish film to deposit and adhere strongly to automobile finishes and leather surface.

SNY-296 is soluble in many common organic solvents including aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon solvents, isobutane and lower alcohols (absolute). It is not soluble in water and hydrolyses in the presence of water. However, the properly formulated polish emulsions based on SNY-296 are very stable and do not lose performance benefits upon ageing.

During emulsification of SNY-296, the pH of the emulsion system needs to remain acidic.
