Hydrophobic Silicone Resin SiFS-6289

Description

SiFS-6289 is a waterless alkoxysilyl silane oligomer and silicone resin admixture with relatively low viscosity. The alkoxysilyl chemical group in the resin can chemically react with cement hydrate during cement cure. Alcohol is released upon reaction of the resin. It provides hydrophobicity and reduces water absorption of cementitious materials. SiFS-6289 serves as an integral water repellent for cement-based construction materials..

How to use
Do not dilute in solvents prior to use. SiFS-6289 can be used at levels ranging from 0.1% to 0.5%. Prior testing is necessary for optimum addition level for maximum water repellency and a minimum potential impact on the other board properties.
